Peru, 2019
In June we returned to Cusco, Peru after 28 years. This time we passed through Cusco to visit the ruins at Choquequiaro. It took a couple of days of hiking to reach the 2nd largest Inca ruins in Peru. From there we hiked another 7 days to Machu Picchu, another place we visited 28 years ago. While there are many more visitors now, the site has been well-maintained and is in good condition. We spent 10 more days exploring the Rio Madre De Dios region of the Peruvian Amazon east of Cusco before returning home. For more details see:
