Malaysia, 2026
We flew to Malaysia in March, 2026 in search of primates and other wildlife. Starting at Fraser's Hill near Kuala Lumpur we found our target primate, a Siamang. From there, we flew to Sandakan in Sabah on the island of Borneo and met up with our guide, Adi. She was our guide on our last trip to Borneo in 2019. We spent a week with her at Deramakot Forest Reserve looking for mammals and birds. After our goodbyes, we stopped at the Kinabatangan River before heading to the Langom Research Station in the Danum Valley Conservation Area, continuing our search for mammals.
