Colombia, 2022
We headed to Colombia in December, 2022 in search of mammals, particularly primates, as well as birds, insects, and reptiles. Using Bogota as our base, we explored the provinces of Meta, Putamayo, Antioquia, Boyaca and Cauca. It took some work but we were able to see over 40 mammal species, including 21 primate species. While our focus was on mammals, we were also able to see many new birds to bring our bird species count over 330. For more details, check out our blog posts at
