Brazil, 2014
We visited Amazonas State in Brazil during November of 2014, flying into Manaus direct from Miami.
After a day of acclimating to hot and humid weather, we boarded a riverboat for a 2-day journey up the Amazon River to Tefe.
From there we explored the Mamiraua Reserve for a week. We returned by plane to Manaus and went south to Lake Juma for a few days.
Lastly we returned to Manaus and boarded another riverboat, the M/V Desafio for a short trip up the Rio Negro. While the three legs were in the Amazon region, all had their unique variations on flora and fauna.
